Self-Sticking Insulation Hangers are used to fasten insulation materials to sheet metal quickly and easily. The most common application is for fiberglass duct wrap on sheet metal HVAC ductwork. Each pin's metal base has a foam adhesive on the bottom which is revealed when the wax release paper is removed. Once the insulation is pierced onto the pin, a locking washer or a domed cap can be installed to hold the insulation in place. RESTRICTIONS: Do not use on metal buildings or ceilings where temperatures due to sunlight exposure may exceed 140ºF. Do not use on cement, wood, or painted surfaces Must be used on clean dust-free surfaces. Do not exceed spacing of 12" between hangers and 2 lb load per hanger The round self-locking washers are made of mild steel, with a galvanized coating; each washer is 1.5 in. Used in conjunction with weld pins, insulation anchors or lacing anchors to fasten insulation in place. Nail, glue or screw the insulation plate with pin to the ceiling or wall, then impale the insulation board into the insulation pin. Finish by pushing the self locking washers onto the insulation pin. For best results, distribute the insulation nails evenly. Do not to compress the insulation when installing the self-locking washers. Hanger loading should not exceed 3 pounds per hanger (0.75 pounds per square inch). Dome caps are used in conjunction with weld pins, insulation anchors and lacing anchors to cover the sharp pin ends when safety or appearance is a factor. Finish will often match the insulation material that is being impaled. Our Insulation Dome Cap Washers, available in aluminum or white finishes, are designed to enhance both safety and aesthetics in insulation applications. These dome caps are used in conjunction with weld pins, insulation anchors, and lacing anchors to cover the sharp pin ends, preventing injuries and providing a clean, finished look. The finish is often selected to match the insulation material, ensuring a seamless and professional appearance.
